Steven Fernandez Workshop

Fly Tying Workshops by Steven Fernandez

@ WA Fly Fishing Fair 2017

Thursday May 4th 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Pompadour Class. Generally this should be about a 4 hour course. The object, of course is to teach the basic Steven Fernandez's Pompadour winging and mounting technique. He generally ties these flies with a minimal aesthetic and pay very careful attention to not just detail, but especially to style.

Workshop is limited  to 6 people.  This is an advanced  course; not having just finished an intermediate tying class. The Pompadour style is all about art. The attached image is roughly what we might be tying, perhaps with different colors.

Cost of the workshop is $75 non-refundable  Contact  Chet Allison @ jochetallison@msn.com to register

Saturday May 6th at 9:00 AM to Noon

Trout Fly Class. Generally this should be about a 4 hour course.  This workshop will tie two flies such as Steven's  Tutti Frutti Ben Franklin and a Western Coachman. Rather than crank out numerous flies, the workshop will concentrate on teaching the basic techniques in a precise way. Think Wayne Luallen.

This workshop an 8 student’s maximum of at least intermediate skill level.

Cost of the Workshop is $75.  Please register online
